WindGuru was way out, but it was a half decent session in the end. Windguru was giving 24 mph SW gusting 32 to 35 both on GFS and WRF. Turned up at Broadhaven at high tide - very little wind and flat. Waited a while then decided to have a look at Newgale. Wind still light here (and more onshore), but enough to wobble out with a 5.7 and the waves were big enough to get planing on the way back in. Great fun riding and backside turns. Just enough to waterstart.

Actual wind from XC and Met Office was 13 to 17mph and no gusts. Not sure why Windguru can be so far out on S and SW at Broadhaven and Newgale - Anglesey seemed to be getting the wind but not Pembs. Think I will rely on the BBC forecast next time - seems to be nearer the mark.
